ALBINO BALL PYTHON

POSTED BY: SCOTT

Man summer is here and we are bizzy as heck. Can you believe it! We are happy as many many people have brand new pets to love. That is what we do. We sell top quality animals to folks so they can have a terrific relationship with an animal. Love of nature. That is what it is all about.

We are running a special. Click here for details. The breeders have been doing a great job making baby reptiles. Ohhh boy, we have been buying like mad!

CHELODINA EXPANSA

In stock is a boatload of animals offered at 25% OFF internet listed price. In store sales or mail order. We don't care. The only catch is "while supplies last"! The list includes corns, boas of all types, and bearded dragons. True wholesale to the public prices. We want our loyal listmembers to get first crack at this sale. So this special is listed only here first. For mail orders only: Shipping starts at $10 for Southern Califirnia buyers with $40 for those out of SoCal. We use Fedex overnight door to door service for most shipouts.

Change of gears for a moment. The tortoise world has been told for decades that pyramiding in captive bred baby tortoises is caused by a high protein diet. I have been fighting this for over ten years. Well, real science has finally proven this fallacy to be untrue. It seems the original author of this bad information dry labbed his results. In reality, his "results" have never been published anywhere but in opinion form in herp/tortoise newsletters worlwide. Here is a link to the scientific paper in a 1.5 meg *.pdf file: CS Weisner, C Iben, 2003. Influence of environmental humidity and dietary protein on pyramidal growth of carapaces in African spurred tortoises. J Anim Physiol Anim Nutr (Berl). 2003 Feb; 87 (1-2) 66-74. Read it and judge for yourself.

PEACOCK SLIDERS

Okay back to animals. We have some very desirable animals available for sale. Broadshelled Snakenecked Turtles (Chelodina expansa), Albino Ball Pythons, Peacock Sliders and more. Pics are listed in this post. These and more animals listed to the website soon.

Please call Mike or Scott at 909.447.5103 for more details.

TONY'S NEW BABY MOJAVES!

School is coming to a close and summer is upon us. We Amazonians hope all of you are having a terrific year. We certainly are! Hopefully summer will bring fun in the sun, vacations, lots of new baby reptile/amphibians and more.

I’d like to start this edition of Amazon Reptile Center’s “Shop News” with a WOOOHOOO!!!. A hearty congratulations goes out to friend, colleague and customer Tony Bocanegro. He recently hatched his first clutch of baby Mojave Ball Pythons. Out of five babies he got three Mojaves and two normals. Outstanding indeed. We are especially proud because the mother of these babies was purchased from us! The female was a family pet not housed properly. She escaped too many times for the mother’s comfort. Because we were the source of the rats she was given to us. Now she is Tony’s and the mother of some very valuable ball pythons. Email Tony B for more details on his beautiful babies.

BLUE NOSE BE MALE!

It seems to be raining chameleons here at ARC. Today a small group (6.2) of CB Ambilobe Panther Chameleons landed. Photos soon. Pictured here is a fantastic turquoise blue Nose Be Blue Panther Chameleon. Sadly, all we have to offer of this beautiful locality is this four year old CB male. We also have a few Sambava Panthers and Veiled Chameleons. Check out all the chameleons.

NEW FEATURE! We have added yet another new feature to our website. We call it Notify Me!. Please, use it to be notified about that special animal you are seeking. Type in the scientific name or accepted common name and your email address. Then submit the information to our website. Whenever we add a new listing that matches your request you will be automatically notified when it gets added. The program will only email once per day. It I happen to list ten specimens still you only get one email. Now I won’t have scores of slips of paper with the many requests we get every week. The computer will organize it and do the notify email automatically! We believe we are the first on the internet to offer this feature. Use it as much as you’d like. Click here to use Notify Me!.

WOW LOOK AT ALL THOSE EGGS!

Check out our incubator. It is almost totally full! Most of those boxes have 2 or 3 clutches of dragon eggs. We are also incubating Veiled Chameleons, Leopard Geckos of many genetic varieties, Eureka’s (the albino Burmese python) 70 or so eggs, tons of cornsnakes and probably something I have forgotten.

Other new acquisitions: We have recently purchased Morroccan Greek Tortoises (cb adults!), baby Eastern Hermann’s Tortoises, Pancake Tortoises, Striped Ghost Cornsnakes, Striped Dartfrogs (D. truncatus), Spotted Green & Black Dartfrogs, Orange Striped D. vittatus, Bastimientos D. pumilio, Hog Island Boas, Green Tree Pythons, Argentine Boas, and probably a few others. Species without links will have photos coming soon.

Have a great summer!

CRYSTAL AND HER FAVORITE DRAGONS!

I missed a week of updates. Sorry about that! I have been busy with exports, purchasing animals and updating our "about us page". Check it out! I now have all of our staff listed. In the last six months we have had to shuffle staff but we are rock solid now. Tim, Crystal and Jose, a special thanks from Mike and Scott for your hard work and consistent efforts. We could not be doing what we do without you.

Recent arrivals! We have a small group of Pancake tortoises. CB 2005 in the USA by an awesome

2005 BABY PANCAKES!

dude. I have been buying this guys animals for 6 or 7 years now. Never problem one! We have had so many awesome experiences with folks like him. Our stable of breeders grows every month. From folks that produce one species once a year all the way to dudes making literally hundreds of thousands of new reptiles and amphibians every year. And, every step in between.

NEW 2005 BABY BOAS!

We just bought a fresh batch of incredible little colombian boa constrictors. Sweet clean patterns. Nice red tails. Feeding well. As always, mite free. We never knowingly ship mites. We never allow them to exist in our store. Eradication is the norm at ARC. No pukers, no problems. We don't have animals like this so we don't ship them. All you will get is a babyMike or I would be proud to own ourselves. In fact we do (and are) until you buy it!

Eureka's eggs are looking good. Seventy babies due in mid-June. The mother and one of the fathers are both high contrast albino burms. Her babies are known for their gentle nature. These are certain to sell out fast. Reserve yours now. No deposit required. Just your name and contact information gets you notified when they are ready.

On another note, we are making advances into the export market place. We are exporting your fine animals on a regular basis. This summer shipments may become every week. Man, that is a lot of miles driving to LAX! Anyway, what I am getting at is we need your first quality offspring to supply these hungry buyers. We pay real money. Not store credit. Unless that is what you desire. CITES species or not, we need to be buying your animals. Please call Scott @ 909.447.5103 and let me know what you have. Better still is to email me a list of available species/specimens. My list regularly has fifteen species on it. With your help I should be able to double that.

Harvest time!

Eureka gave us 70 awesome eggs the other day. For those of you who don't know, Eureka is our 150 plus pound nine year old albino burmese python breeder female. She made us sixty babies last year and now she gives us seventy eggs for this year! She is high contrast even as an adult. Her mate, Lourdes, (the snake Alice Cooper rents from us) is also high contrast. Both animals are very tame and calm without even a hiss. If you want a huge snake then you MUST have calm ones. These are the best!

Oh yeah baby!

Last year her babies were amongst the best baby burms I have ever dealt with. Easy to handle, calm, feeding every time with never a problem. Never a hiss or a bite. If you want an albino burm then this is an excellent opportunity to get the best of the best. You will not be disappointed with Eureka's babies.

Mike setting them up to incubate.

On another note, we added a wallpaper page to our website. Free downloadable wallpapers for your desktop. There is even one of Eureka while she was developing her eggs. You'll find tortoises, snakes, and a ton of very cute frog pics. Check out the wallpaper.

Also, baby season is beginning to happen for all types of herps. Please keep us in mind for the purchase of your offspring. We have a constant ongoing need for first quality reptiles and amphibians. We have a couple of overseas buyers taking pretty nice numbers. We cannot sell them if we don't know about them. Drop us an email or call Scott @ 909.447.5103 to keep us informed. We are always will to pay real money for your animals. Trades or store credit available upon your request only.
